Our long awaited trip has finally arrived. David came on the overnight bus from Chicago and we picked him up in downtown Minneapolis early this morning.
Andrew and Diana both have time off from their jobs.
Greg and I have both been working hard getting food, equipments and the motor home ready.
We're sorry that neither Mike or Steve could go this time, but we're excited that we were able to bring David, Andrew and Diana.
We're excited about giving Diana (who is visiting from Bogata, Columbia for 2 months) a "taste" of motor home life. We've been taking cross country motor home trips for almost 15 years . . . and it will be fun to have her see the country and experience this type of vacation.
Greg's a happy guy getting behind the wheel again.
In fact, everyone is settling in - Greg's driving, Andrew and Diana are sleeping in the back, and Dave's up on the bunk relaxing and writing.
And I, of course, am having fun documenting our trip to Glacier National Park. This is our 5th trip to Glacier - obviously, we love it! It is truly one of the most beautiful places I've seen.
Before we left this morning, my mom and dad came over to say goodbye and my dad told stories about the two summers he worked in Glacier National Park when he was 17 and 18 - so some family history with Glacier!
We plan to drive about 750 miles today and then will sleep for awhile at a rest area. A long day ahead, but we're excited and ready to go!
